PRIVACY / LOCAL EVIDENCE

Your library stays on your Mac.

LibraryProof is designed as a local, read-only migration preflight. This policy describes the current commercial release and will be updated if its data handling changes.

Last updated July 16, 2026

Sources you choose

LibraryProof reads only the Apple Photos library package or export folder you explicitly select. For a supported package, it copies observable database files to a private temporary area and opens that snapshot with SQLite read-only. It does not write the selected Photos database, repair the package or alter its media.

Local processing

Filesystem inventory, supported database-field inspection, path checks, byte counts, SHA-256 hashing, classification and export estimation happen locally. The current build does not upload your library, paths, hashes, audit results or evidence package to Shipmac.

iCloud boundary

LibraryProof does not ask for iCloud credentials, connect to iCloud on your behalf or force media downloads. A safely observable cloud identifier may support an “iCloud-only candidate” label, but the app does not claim to verify remote availability.

Evidence exports

When you choose an export destination, LibraryProof writes a new evidence folder containing JSON, CSV, Markdown and SHA-256 artifacts. Referenced-path evidence may include filesystem paths in that user-controlled package. Review it before sharing with another person.

Website and checkout

This website may produce ordinary server access logs. Purchases are processed by Polar as merchant of record under its own privacy terms. Shipmac receives the purchase details needed to deliver and support the app; payment-card details are not handled by the app.

Diagnostics

No automatic crash-reporting service is enabled in the current build. If you voluntarily share an audit or sample library structure for support, Shipmac will use it only to investigate the issue you reported.

Changes

This policy will be revised if LibraryProof adds diagnostics, an optional network service or a checkout provider.

Website analytics

This website loads Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. When enabled, Shipmac measures page visits, the product hostname and checkout starts; it does not send files or content processed by the Mac app. You can change your choice at any time using Analytics choices.
